God asked His people through Joshua to consecrate themselves because He will do wonders among them the next day (Joshua 3:5). God is still speaking the same message to His children even in this our contemporary time. The message is so clear for every child of God to understand. It comes in two parts: our part and God’s part. Our part is to consecrate ourselves while God’s part is: Tomorrow He will do amazing things among us.
I appeal to us by the mercies of God to set ourselves apart for the Lord to allow Him do the wonders, miracles and amazing things we have been looking up unto Him for. We cannot be more faithful than God. If we do our part, He will do His part. James 4:8-10 tell us: “Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.”
Owing to this, the month of July is declared ‘OUR MONTH OF CONSECCRATION.’ Glory be to God!
