Nurturing children into a loving and serving relationship with Jesus
Jesus said,
“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14)
God loves children, and as a church family we enjoy the responsibility and privilege of looking after them and teaching them about Him. We follow and trust in Proverbs 22:6 – ‘Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.’
The Children’s Church of Covenant Parish is made up of three classes:
- Kinder class has children from 3 to 5 years
- Class 1 has children from 6 – 8 years
- Class 2 has children from 9 – 11 years
On Sundays, the children are split into age appropriate groups where they study the word of God and relate it to their daily life. Our teachers are well trained, caring and Spirit filled Christians. Every parent can be sure that their Children or wards are in good hands.
The Children’s Church
The children church helps to bring up children in the way of the Lord by teaching the children the principles of true Christianity in a fun and age appropriate way. It is the children’s joy to perform in front of the congregation the songs, memory verses, drama and puppet show that they learn.
The Bible tells us that
‘Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and men’ (Luke 2:52).
All children need to develop mentally, physically, spiritually and socially and that is what we are trying to achieve in the Children’s Church.
Our Vision:
Our Vision is to ensure every child makes a decision to love and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. In so doing, raise them up as young soldiers for God's Kingdom.
Parents can be at ease:
Parents, when you visit the church to worship on Sunday, you can confidently and joyfully worship without worrying about the welfare of your child/ren or ward, because they would also be confidently and joyfully worshiping without worrying about you.
