Having rebuked kings for our sake, increased our numbers, met all our needs, made it possible for none to be feeble among us, divided the red sea, river Jordan, brought the wall of Jericho down for us and defeated Goliath for our sake, among other miracles, God deserves our thanksgiving.Let us enter into His gates with thanksgiving and be thankful to Him for His wonderful works in our lives throughout 2021 (Psalm 100:4). He has single-handedly brought us from 2021 to 2022. We did not make it to this year by our power or by what we did or did not do but by His grace we made it through. We are what we are today by His wonderful grace upon our lives (1 Corinthians 15:10).
With this in view, the month of January is declared:
”OUR MONTH OF THANKSGIVING.” Hallellujah!
Psalm 100:4, 107:1-2, 124:1-8, 1 Chronicles 16:34, 1 Corinthians 15:10, 2 Corinthians 9:15,1 Thessalonians 5:18, James 1:17.
The Psalmist says in Psalm 107:1-2:
”O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;”
Brethren, no amount of thanksgiving will be enough for our King. So, in this month of January let us approach Him with a grateful heart and appreciate Him for every good gift and every perfect gift He has given to us. As we do so, the Lord will do more for us in Jesus name.
