Jesus had died, resurrected and ascended to heaven and He is sited at the right hand of God in the place of glory (Romans 8:34). But before His death, 1 Peter 1:11 tells us that His suffering will be followed by glory. And in John 19:30 Jesus shouted it is finished and gave up the ghost. So, invariably we are living in the era of the glory that should follow the suffering of Christ. Hence the shouting it is finished- I have suffered it all for you now enter your era of glory. What a present-day reality, what a victory, what a finished work that has been handed to us!
No wonder the Bible says in Romans 8:1 that there is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus…and no one can lay anything to the charge of God’s elect because it is God that justifies (Romans 8:33).
Brethren all that is needed for us to live a victorious, glorious, the miraculous, the transcendent Life in Christ is already fulfilled in the death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ our Lord. All we need to do is to enforce what is already settled in heaven by the righteous Judge, Jehovah God.
You are no longer the wretched poor sinner, neither darkness you used to be but a new creature in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:17). Sin no longer has dominion over you (Romans 6:14), you are now the child of God with power (John 1:12), righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21), light in the Lord to the world (Ephesians 5:8, Matthew 5:14).
Brethren let us stand up from our slumber and live as one. It is high time we started enforcing the heavenly realities because it is finished. Jesus is not coming to die and resurrect again for us. It is done once and for all (Hebrews 10:12-14).
In light of this, the month of April is declared
“OUR MONTH OF IT IS FINISHED”.
