The Holy Ghost is not a mere influence. He is the third person of the trinity, the Godhead. He is as important as God the father and the son. In fact, the Bible makes us know that God is spirit (John 4:24). He is inseparable from the God head (1 John 5:7, Matthew 28:19).
No one can be a Christian without the Holy Ghost, and no Christian can succeed without the Holy Ghost (John 3:5-6, Acts 1:8). He bears witness with our spirit that we are the children of God (Romans 8:16), He is the first installment that guarantees everything God has promised us (2 Corinthians 1:22), He is our seal unto the day of redemption (Ephesians 4:30), He searches the deep things of God and reveal to us (1 Corinthians 2:10), He helps our infirmity and makes intercession for us (Romans 8:26), He empowers us to do the will/work of God and overcome every challenge that we face as we journey home (Zachariah 4:6), He teaches us all things and comforts us (John 14:26), He strengthens us (Ephesians 3:16), He guides us (Romans 8:14).
Let’s not neglect His ministry in our lives and let’s not resist or grieve Him (Ephesians 4:30). Instead let us recognize and allow Him to work out freely the will and purpose of God for our lives.
In view of this, the month of September is declared
“OUR MONTH OF THE HOLY GHOST”.
