2024: My year of His Kingdom and His will

The beginning of divine intervention can be traced back to the time of creation of the heaven and the earth, even before man was created. Hence, in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth (Genesis 1:1).

Since the time of Adam and Eve, God has never ceased to divinely intervene or rule in the kingdom of mankind. The list of the reasons for God’s intervention in the affairs of man is inexhaustible.

One of the reasons is that the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof (Psalm 24:1, 1 Corinthians 10:26). So He does whatever pleases him throughout all heaven and earth, and on the seas and in their depths (Psalm 135:6).

Another reason is that God is merciful (Romans 9:15-16, Lamentations 3:22-23). When Adam and Eve sinned in the garden of Eden and discovered that they were naked; they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves aprons (Genesis 3:7). Seeing that their provision was insufficient, God intervened by making unto them coats of skins to cover their nakedness (Genesis 3:21).

God intervened to deliver His people from slavery in Egypt (Exodus 3:7-8) as well as deliver mankind from perishing (John 3:16). He intervened to turn the evil thought against Joseph by his brethren into good (Genesis 50:20), shut the mouths of the lions for Daniel (Daniel 6:22) and saved the three Hebrew men; Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego from the burning fiery furnace (Daniel 3:24-26 ISV). Several times did He intervene to restore health and life to the people in need of them (Psalm 107:20, Matthew 12:15, John 11:43-44, Luke 7:11-15).

The Bible has unequivocally stated that without God we can do nothing (John 15:5), for by strength no man shall prevail (1 Samuel 2:9), not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, says the Lord of hosts (Zechariah 4:6) and not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God (2 Corinthians 3:5). All these are also some of the reasons God intervenes in the affairs of His children.

Apart from intervening to help His people, God has also intervened in the kingdom of mankind to execute judgement on some who lied, are proud and wicked (Acts 12:21-23, 5:1-11 Daniel 4:30-33).

In this month of November, God will intervene in all that concerns us to give us advantage over all our foes in Jesus name. His intervention will not bring judgement upon us in Jesus name.

With regard to this, November is declared OUR MONTH OF DIVINE INTERVENTION. Glory be to God in the highest for He cares for us!
