The Lord promised to make up for the years of the locust, the great locust devastation—Locusts savage, locusts deadly, fierce locusts, locusts of doom… (Joel 2:25 MSG).
This kind of promise can only come from a God who can do all things. No human being or government may ever be able to give back to you what you’ve lost, but God can. He is the God that “quickens the dead,” that is, gives life to the dead. He can bring back everything, and more!
The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 1:20 (NIV) that no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so, through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.
Also in Numbers 23:19 (NLT), the Bible says: God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?
He can restore peace and order back to our lives; we need not fret or be dismayed.
God does this through His Spirit. The Spirit of God is the Spirit of life (Romans 8:2). He does not only give life to our mortar bodies (Romans 8:11) but also to every area of our lives which includes our works, marriages, careers etc. He takes away the dryness in our lives and brings fruitfulness and productivity. He is the one who impregnates our words with power so that when we speak, things happen. He puts us ahead of others by causing our eyes to see what they don’t see and anoints our hands so that anything we touch prospers.
Brethren, this month of June is
“OUR MONTH OF RESTORATION.”
