The Bible says in Proverbs 4:7 that Wisdom is the principal thing therefore we should get wisdom and with all our getting let’s get understanding.
Wisdom is a guiding force that causes one to act, respond or speak beyond natural human reasoning. It is also the expression of the power of God in thoughts, plans, purpose and decision-making. Queen of Sheba came to King Solomon with entourage, very much gold and precious stones to intimidate him but when she saw Solomon’s wisdom, she said:
…It was a true report that I heard in mine own land of thy acts and of thy wisdom. Howbeit I believed not the words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the half was not told me: thy wisdom and prosperity exceedeth the fame which I heard (1 Kings 10:6-7 KJV).
The Bible admonishes us to love wisdom and embrace her because if we do she will make us great, bring us honour be our crowning glory (Proverbs 4:8-9).
With wisdom, less effort is needed to succeed or get the work done, while a great deal of effort is needed when wisdom is ignored or not available (Ecclesiastes 10:10 NET Bible). In other words, not only does wisdom propel one in the right direction in life, but also position one in the place of advantage.
By the grace of God, this month of July is declared
“OUR MONTH OF GOD’S WISDOM”. Glory to God!
Let’s celebrate and exalt wisdom so that wisdom will promote and propel us in the path of honour and greatness.
