Fulfilment is only measured by the will and purpose of God for one’s life. John the Baptist lived a short life but fulfilled his purpose of coming to prepare the way for the Messiah. For someone to live a fulfilled life, he must live the will of God for his life.
“The God of our fathers hath chosen thee, that thou shouldest know his will, and see that Just One, and shouldest hear the voice of his mouth” (Acts 22:14 KJV).
You know the will of God for your life by studying His word, hence 2 Timothy 3:15 (NRSV) says “and how from childhood you have known the sacred writings that are able to instruct you for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.”
A man’s life doesn’t consist of the abundance of the things which he possesses (Luke 12:15). In other words, the abundance of your possession is not a yardstick to a fulfilled life. A fulfilled life is only in Christ and His word. For in him we live, and move, and have our being (Acts 17:28).
We shall all live a fulfilled life in Jesus name!
The month of February is declared ‘OUR MONTH OF FULFILMENT’. Blessed be the name of God!
