The presence of God in a life of a man brings grace and glory to the man. This was so evident in the life of Joseph that the Bible says in
Genesis 39:2-6 KJV says:
“And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.3 And his master saw that the Lord was with him, and that the Lord made all that he did to prosper in his hand.4 And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.5 And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the Lord blessed the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake; and the blessing of the Lord was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field.6 And he left all that he had in Joseph’s hand; and he knew not ought he had, save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was a goodly person, and well favoured.”
2 Corinthians 3:18 points out that when we behold the glory of God with open face as in a glass, we are changed into the same image from glory to glory by His Spirit that lives in us.
And Jesus declared in John 17:22 that, He has given to us, the disciples, the glory the father has given Him.
The grace and glory are not limited to individuals only. They also extend to the church of God. Hence, Acts 11:21-23 KJV states:
“And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed and turned unto the Lord. Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch. Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.”
God is a giver of grace and glory to them who walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11 KJV, 64:10 NIV, 11:7 NIV, James 4:6 KJV).
