2024: My year of His Kingdom and His will

Even though faith, hope and love will last forever, the greatest still remains LOVE. As powerful as faith is to Christianity, it has no base without love. This is evident in the scripture below:

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16 NIV).

There is the love that prompted God to give out the only son He had. Believing or having faith in this gift of the only son of God brings eternal life to the believer. The giving comes first before the believing. The element to believe was given out of love. Love made way for faith. In fact, faith works by love (Galatians 5:6)

1 Corinthians 13:2 (NIV) corroborates this by saying "If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing."

Brethren let us embrace love because "...God is love and whoever does not love does not know Him (1 John 4:8). God Has demonstrated to us how practical love works. He gave because He loved (John 3:16). He went further to pour His love out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5). He expects us to love no matter how seemingly unlovable that person to be loved may be.

In fact, Jesus gave it both as a command and the only way people could know His disciples in John 13:34-35:

"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."

August is declared as OUR MONTH OF LOVE. Go ahead and love like never before because we are the children of love. Glory be to God!
