“Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full” (John 16:24).
“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened. Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks a fish, will he give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him” (Matthew 7:7-11).
What a generous father we have! What a father that cares for and about His children! He takes time to remind us about our asking. He is never bored or fed up with our asking. The bible says He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things. Not some things, but ALL things.
This month is tagged our month of PRAYER. If the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much according to James 5: 16b, and Elias being a man subject to like passions as we are prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months, and he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit (James 5:17-18), we will pray ceaselessly and obtain tremendous results this season in Jesus name.
