Prayer is a necessity for every believer. No Christian will excel without prayer. A prayer-less Christian is a powerless Christian because “the prayer of faith makes tremendous power available” (James 5:16). Jesus gave a revelation about this in Luke 18:1 saying “…men ought always to pray, and not to faint”. No wonder He could not do without prayer, He took prayer so seriously throughout His earthly ministry. This is one of the reasons why He lived a triumphant life. In one of the occasions where He was praying, the Bible likened the sweat coming out from Him to “great drops of blood falling down to the ground” (Luke 22:44). His Prayerful life led Him to a triumphant and miraculous life.
This month, the Lord is admonishing us to pray like never before to bring our spiritual blessings into physical manifestations. He is assuring us that when we pray, Chains will be broken, the captives will be set free, every valley will be exalted, and every mountain and hill will be made low: and the crooked will be made straight, and the rough places plain.
The month of July is our month of PRAYER.
